A type of flight jacket. The military supply standard numbers in the U.S. Army range from MIL-J-8279 to MIL-J-8279G, totaling eight. It has a very simple appearance to avoid snagging on various equipment and devices in the confined space of military aircraft. A feature is that the back length is shorter than the front body. This is to prevent fabric from being caught between the hips and the seat when seated in an aircraft. Designed for intermediate zones, i.e., for temperatures from 10°C to -10°C. The pronunciation is M-A-One, but it is often called Ma-One, Maast, or M-One.
