Founded in 2011 in Cohasset, Massachusetts, OOFOS is a recovery shoe brand developed over two and a half years by a veteran team involved in product development for athletes, trainers, and major shoe manufacturers. While there are many shoes that cause significant impact on the soles of the feet, they realized there were no shoes designed to absorb impact and promote recovery, leading them to create OOFOS and become pioneers in recovery footwear. The special material OOfoam used in OOFOS products, unlike the common EVA midsole designed for propulsion, can reduce impact rebound by 37%, thereby alleviating the shock to the soles upon landing.
