At Tapis Noir, after cutting the printed fabric, skilled artisans perform "hand-rolling" to finish the edges by hand. While machine-sewn products are increasing in the market, each piece is finished with meticulous craftsmanship.

Tapis Noir, established in Denmark in 2020 by Mads Lehn Kruse, is a scarf brand that modernizes vintage textiles, focusing on materials and techniques such as hand-sewn silk twill and the finest crepe de chine. Art director Lehn Kruse, a collector of old fabrics, digitally transforms the textures of woven materials, rich tapestries, and old wall panels into beautiful silk for original fabrics.
