'NANGA' is a sleeping bag manufacturer that started in 1941 by the predecessor "Akira Yokota" from the production area of Omi silk comforters, born from the town of down feathers. The company name "NANGA" is derived from "Nanga Parbat," located in the Himalayas. Nanga Parbat, at an elevation of 8126m, is the ninth highest mountain in the world and is also feared as the "Man-Eating Mountain," having caused many accidents due to its difficult ascent. The name reflects the founder Akira Yokota's belief that "because it is difficult, we will do it; we will climb where others do not." NANGA's commitment lies in down feathers. Through years of expertise in selecting, washing, and managing down, they continue to produce warmer down products.
