The GEL-KAYANO 12.1 is a model that combines the distinctive design of a running shoe released in 2006 with a modern sole. The upper of this model is inspired by the armor of Europe and its structure, as well as its metallic texture. While the design tells a story of heaviness, the use of open mesh in the upper enhances breathability, keeping the foot comfortable. This product, appearing in the HOLIDAY season, features metallic, rainbow-colored parts on the overlays, creating a design that accentuates the vintage-style mesh used in the underlayer. The midsole adopts the same sole as the GEL-NIMBUS 17. It is designed with comfort in mind for long-distance running, providing cushioning through two GEL technologies in the forefoot and heel, along with a FLUIDRIDE structure.

The GEL-KAYANO 12.1 sneakers combine the iconic design details of the version released in 2006 with modern tooling systems.

The upper of this design is inspired by the structural metallic texture of Gothic-style armor from Europe. The overlays feature metallic rainbow accents and a vintage-style mesh underlay.

The midsole adopts the same tooling system as the GEL-NIMBUS 17 shoes. Originally developed with a focus on comfort during marathons, it incorporates dual GEL technology inserts and a FLUIDRIDE cushioning structure.
