My foot length is 23.8cm and I have a wider foot, so overall it felt quite snug without gaps. 24cm provides more room and is easier to wear, but since I often wear stockings, I felt that 24cm might slide forward slightly as it breaks in. I usually prefer a snug fit, so I prefer to break in 23.5cm.
