S is generally loose around the feet but stops at the calves, so I want to put insoles in. The toe drop is about 20mm. M is overall loose and difficult to adjust, so I can't choose it.

M has a roomy fit in the foot area, but the calves are somewhat tight. The toe drop is approximately 15mm. S fits perfectly in the foot area, but since the calves are tight, I choose M.
