OOFOS was born as a pioneer in recovery shoes.

OOFOS is a recovery shoe brand that was developed in Cohasset, Massachusetts in 2011 by a veteran team of athletes, trainers, and product developers from major shoe manufacturers over a period of two and a half years.
They noticed that while there are many shoes on the market that provide increased rebound support for the soles of the feet, there were no shoes that absorb shock and are designed for recovery, so they created OOFOS and became pioneers in recovery shoes.
Unlike typical EVA midsoles designed to generate forward momentum, the special material OOfoam reduces impact rebound by 37% and lessens the impact on the soles of the feet when landing.
This reduces strain on your knees, hips and back, and the ergonomically designed footbed gently cradles your feet and provides firm arch support.
Since its launch in 2011, understanding of recovery shoes has grown year by year in the United States, and in 2017 the brand has expanded to 1,700 stores, mainly online shops.
