MIXTA is a term used in the vintage clothing industry by American vintage dealers, meaning "mixed." The brand was founded in 2010 by two individuals involved in the vintage clothing industry in LA, who believed that the essence of American casual wear lies in printed T-shirts, which originated in the USA. They began producing T-shirts as their own brand. The fabric sampled for the T-shirts is from 1970s Champion football T-shirts, and to achieve that vibe, they create the yarn from scratch. All processes, including dyeing, printing, and sewing, are carried out in America.
