Born in 1911 in Biella, Italy.
The authentic lineage born in Italy, the Italian style, passion, creativity, and the Italian temperament are the origins of FILA, and it continues to carry that legacy today.
Founded by the Fila brothers in Biella, Italy, as a knitwear factory, it later began selling original underwear, and in 1940, it started operating under the name FILA, derived from the founders' names.
In the 1970s, they developed cotton rib material and launched sportswear using this material. The design, which added color to tennis wear that had previously been all white, attracted significant attention from people at the time, and they adopted a groundbreaking advertising method by signing sponsorship contracts with professional players as a sports manufacturer of that era.
Gradually recognized as "a little stylish" sportswear, it now expresses FILA's sports lifestyle as "FUN FEEL LIFE," in addition to apparel and shoes centered around tennis and golf.
