In the summer of 1994, Kim Gordon of SONIC YOUTH launched this brand together with her friend Daisy Von Furth, who was also a staff member at "XLARGE".
The opportunity arose when Mike D of BEASTIE BOYS, who had been involved with XLARGE since its inception in 1991, reached out to Kim, with whom he had previously established a connection.
By introducing the clothes that Kim and Daisy wanted to wear, essentially their real clothes items, as X-girl, and developing items that incorporated graphics and designs, they gained attention as a women's street brand that not only influenced the fashion industry but also engaged music and art as pioneers of the "GIRL’S MOVEMENT".
By incorporating various elements from the street scenes of music, culture, and sports, they continue to propose basic and timeless items that reflect "real girls' street style" while adapting to the changes of the times.
