In the summer of 1994, Kim Gordon of SONIC YOUTH launched this brand together with her friend and XLARGE shop staff member, Daisy Von Furth.
The collaboration was initiated when Mike D of BEASTIE BOYS, who was involved with XLARGE since its inception in 1991, reached out to Kim, with whom he had previously established a connection.
By introducing the clothes that Kim and Daisy wanted to wear, essentially their real clothes items, as X-girl, they developed items infused with graphics and designs, gaining attention as a women's street brand that not only influenced the fashion industry but also engaged music and art as pioneers of the "GIRL’S MOVEMENT."
Incorporating various elements from the street scenes of music, culture, and sports, they continue to propose basic and timeless items that align with the changing times, representing "real girls' street style."
