In the summer of 1994, Kim Gordon of SONIC YOUTH launched the brand together with Daisy Von Furth, who was both a friend and a staff member at "XLARGE."
The opportunity arose when Mike D of BEASTIE BOYS, who was involved with XLARGE since its establishment in 1991, reached out to Kim, with whom he had previously interacted.
By introducing the clothes that Kim and Daisy wanted to wear, essentially their real clothes items, as X-girl, they developed items infused with graphics and designs, gaining attention as a women's street brand that not only influenced the fashion industry but also involved music and art as pioneers of the "GIRL’S MOVEMENT."
Incorporating various elements from the street scenes of music, culture, and sports, they continue to propose basic and timeless items that adapt to the changes of the times, representing "real girls' street style."
