In comparison, a typical umbrella has a waterproof pressure of less than 500mm, making this material over 40 times more effective. It is also characterized by being more resistant to scratches and lighter than coated waterproof materials.
The sewing parts on the front have seam tape applied to the backside to prevent water ingress from the seams.
