The full metal design is based on the DW-5000, the origin of G-SHOCK.
The bezel and band are made of a hard stainless steel material.
Revisiting the hollow structure, which is the core technology of G-SHOCK, and evolving the shock-resistant structure.
Insert a fine resin buffer between the metal bezel and the main body case.
We have developed a new shock-resistant structure that can withstand even a full metal case.

Improve the band mounting section that receives the most shock,
By establishing a relay point in the center of the center case,
Reduces the impact on the band mounting pipe.

In addition, it features a solid screw-back case,
The case back is treated with DLC processing, which excels in wear resistance.
We are particular about clear visibility, including film solar cells, and

The face design is a homage to the original model.
We have meticulously focused on everything from the text board to the main display layout, resulting in a design that evokes the original model.

Inheriting a design perfected in completeness, the full metal GMW-B5000D, which has evolved in its exterior and modules, entrusts further possibilities of G-SHOCK.


In terms of functionality, it pursues accurate time precision and is equipped with Bluetooth communication capabilities and Multi-Band 6 that supports standard radio waves from six locations worldwide.
By linking with the dedicated application G-SHOCK Connected※1, accurate time information is obtained from time servers on the internet.
In areas that correspond to the standard radio waves of the 6 world regions, it is equipped with a radio reception function that automatically corrects the time and obtains accurate time.
Additionally, with Casio's unique power-saving technology, the Tough Solar enables stable operation and is equipped with practical features such as a high-brightness full-auto LED backlight and world time.
It also supports localization that allows for the display of days of the week in 6 additional languages.*2
