The "TAKEO KIKUCHI × THE BEDFORD HOTEL" eyewear collection was developed at the "KING STAR" factory of Megane Ichiba, located in Sabae City, Fukui Prefecture, a proud region of the world known for its eyeglasses.

The craftsmanship of eyewear manufacturing in Sabae, cultivated over many years, is alive in every aspect of the eyewear.
The engraved gold work and milled finish applied to the割智 (warichi), temple, and riveted hinges, as well as the nose pads of the Man Ray mountain, meet the high quality standards unique to "KING STAR".
We deliver a supreme masterpiece that combines a strong commitment to craftsmanship and meticulous techniques that reside in every detail.

For glasses enthusiasts, the carefully crafted and easy-to-use nose pads are made in a beige color found in vintage frames.
There is also the advantage of being less tiring even after prolonged use.

A bridge known as Manray Mountain that exudes a classical atmosphere, incorporating parts that serve as both a lens holder and a temple hinge function, referred to as Ikkochi (Wakuchi).
The bridge is engraved with fine circles called milling (※).
The frame is adorned with arabesque engraving patterns, and in addition to the arabesque, the temples are also decorated with milgrain on the frame.
You can fully experience an antique expression.

Milling, also known as mill grain, is a decorative technique that has been passed down in Europe for a long time, meaning "a thousand grains." The "thousand" carries auspicious meanings such as "eternity" and "longevity."
By stamping a ball pattern onto metal, a technique is created where the individual patterns reflect light and appear beautifully sparkling.
