The origin of PUMA began in 1924 when the Dassler brothers, Adolf and Rudolf, developed shoes for gymnasiums. Their father, Christoph Dassler, who ran a shoe workshop, passed down the tradition to his sons, Adolf and Rudolf, to become shoemakers. The two trained in the shoe workshop, obtaining felt scraps from a watermill, from which they made slippers using rubber tubes and sold them at various markets. In 1920, the Dassler Brothers Sports Company was established.
