In the summer of 1994, Kim Gordon of SONIC YOUTH launched it together with Daisy Von Foerster, who was both a friend and a staff member at the "XLARGE" shop.
In 1991, Mike D of the BEASTIE BOYS, who was involved with XLARGE, reached out to Kim, with whom he had previously established a connection.
The clothes that Kim and Daisy want to wear, in other words, their real clothes-like items, were launched as X-girl, along with items that incorporate graphics and designs.
