The product you purchased is delivered in its original state without removing the bloom. The bloom naturally comes off with use, but if you are concerned, you may brush it off. Glenroyal uses bridle leather to create a wide variety of products. Notably, the process of making bridle leather is remarkable. First, in the process of turning hide into leather, "vegetable tannin tanning" is employed. The leather is soaked in a solution of tannins extracted from plant bark for a long time, making it a labor-intensive method. Furthermore, after tanning, beef tallow and beeswax are manually infused, and various processes and innovations occur both before and after tanning. It may seem inefficient and regressive, but it is all to create durable, shape-retaining, high-quality leather.
