A new knit cap featuring long ear flaps has arrived. It uses bulky wool yarn that balances a sense of weight typical of wool while maintaining a solid volume and lightness. The yarn is treated with heat to expand and contain more air inside, enhancing insulation by causing the fibers to contract and giving the yarn a fluffy quality, resulting in a thick appearance while being light and soft to the touch like wool. The head part is made with a general depth of approximately 20cm and adopts a cuff knit type with a fold of about 6cm.
The entire structure is composed of elastic knit, which naturally fits the size of the head.
The ceiling part is sewn with a hexagonal cut to prevent the seam allowance from bulging, achieving a comfortable fit. Additionally, to balance the overall design, a small pom-pom with a diameter of approximately 45mm is attached to the top. The most notable feature is the long ear flaps, approximately 60cm in length. They can be left hanging down or wrapped around the neck like a scarf. The ear flaps are positioned to gently wrap around the face line, providing a sense of security as if wearing a hood when put on. This is a practical and unique item that will be useful during the autumn and winter seasons when layering increases.
