In the summer of 1994, Kim Gordon of SONIC YOUTH launched it together with Daisy Von Fohr, who was both a friend and a staff member at the "XLARGE" shop.
In 1991, Mike D of the BEASTIE BOYS, who was involved with XLARGE, reached out to Kim, with whom he had previously had interactions, which became the catalyst.
The clothes that Kim and Daisy want to wear, in other words, their real clothes-like items, were launched as X-girl, along with items that incorporate graphics and designs. As pioneers of "GIRL’S MOVEMENT," they gained attention not only in the fashion industry but also in music and art, establishing themselves as a ladies' street brand.
Incorporating various elements from the street scene of music, culture, sports, etc., we continue to propose basic and timeless items as "real girls' street style" that adapt to the changes of the times.
