Well-known in Japan, "BIRKENSTOCK" is a German shoe manufacturer.
Its history dates back to 1774 when founder Johannes Adam Birkenstock was recorded in church documents as "the shoemaker of the king."
They began manufacturing footbeds shaped to the contours of the foot, and in the early 1900s, developed the innovative cork blue footbed.
Based on this, the first sandal "Madrid" was created by Karl Birkenstock in the early 1960s.
The original footbed, developed through hundreds of years of research, has a four-layer structure of natural materials that is elastic and molds to each individual's foot over time.
Today, it is widely recognized not only from a medical perspective but also as a fashion item, receiving support from people all over the world.
