【L-2】
In around 1945, the U.S. Army Air Forces introduced the new light zone flight jacket "L-2" to replace the A-2.
The A-2 could no longer be mass-produced due to a shortage of the tanned leather material, and because it was a "leather jacket," it required maintenance.
Therefore, the new material "nylon" was adopted for the L-2.
