A cold-weather flight jacket adopted by the U.S. Air Force in the 1950s. The N-2A in Air Force blue (the designated color for U.S. Air Force flight uniforms) was quickly replaced because it was too conspicuous in combat, and in the late 1950s, the N-2B was introduced with its color changed to sage green. It follows the design of the N-2A and is a flight jacket with excellent cold protection (for -10°C to -30°C).
