DEMIU / DemiU
This is a new smartphone case brand launched in October 2017 with the desire to create the coolest smartphone cases ever, made in Japan.
The brand name is a coined word combining the Italian words for "creation" and "innovation," with the brand concept set as "Creativity and Innovation."
To achieve this, instead of making bags, wallets, or shoes, the founder personally traveled to France to find a tanner to source leather exclusively for smartphone cases.
The found tanner is a company established in 1927 near the border of Spain and southern France.
It is a traditional tanner that has been using old-fashioned methods and techniques, tanning by hand for nearly 100 years, and is used by top domestic and international maison brands, producing top-quality leather.
This time, with the cooperation of the tanner, we successfully purchased leather directly from Remy Company.
It is probably unique in Japan for a smartphone case made with this leather to be produced by a domestic brand.
There is a saying, "温故知新" (Onko Chishin).
Seeking old things to learn new ones, following the traditional high-quality leather manufacturing techniques of Europe, breaking the concept of conventional smartphone cases, and creating innovative new designs.
We aim to break all conventions and continue to be a brand that is said to be "unprecedented," striving to create the world's best smartphone case.
