“About the Oil”
Generally, it is fine to apply any oil you have at home, but oils can be categorized into drying oils, semi-drying oils, and non-drying oils.

Drying oils dry quickly and are less sticky, while semi-drying and non-drying oils tend to be sticky.
Therefore, when applying semi-drying or non-drying oils, use only a small amount and wipe it off well after application before allowing it to dry.
In either case, the oil will be absorbed by the wood, resulting in a moist feel and making it less prone to oil stains and dirt.
After applying oil with a cloth or kitchen paper, leaning it against a dish rack or placing it on chopsticks to elevate the bottom will help it dry more easily. It will dry in about a day, so feel free to maintain it whenever you think it might be dry.
