T.T/Lot.004 Newsboy Bag Horse/TAIGA TAKAHASHI

Discovered in California, this newsboy bag was used by newspaper delivery children in the 1930s.
The wide shoulder handle reduces strain on the shoulder, and the spacious gusset remains true to the original design, with the shoulder handle length adjusted shorter, reconstructing it like a body bag. The stitching on the shoulder handle is intentionally spaced randomly to express a vintage rugged construction. Details such as riveted fastenings and sewing specifications seen in old-style newsboy bags have been faithfully reproduced.

BLACK LEATHER and BROWN LEATHER use horse leather that has been vegetable-tanned in Italy from Polish raw hides, with the intricate stitching of the iconic shoulder handle perfectly replicated. The rust-finished iron parts create a presence that does not yield to the material.

T.T/TAIGA TAKAHASHI

TAIGA TAKAHASHI is a brand by Japanese designer Taiga Takahashi. The brand concept is "reviving relics of the past to unearth future artifacts."

Since his teens, he has collected clothing from 70 to 100 years ago through overseas antique dealers and art dealers, amassing thousands of pieces. Through this collection, he researches clothing that exists now or will exist in the future from an archaeological perspective.

In the fall/winter season of 2021, he began a full-scale expansion in Japan.

In April 2022, designer Taiga Takahashi passed away.

From the 2023-24 season, the brand name was changed to "T.T."

Taiga Takahashi was born in 1995. He entered the London International School of Arts and later progressed to Central Saint Martins. He gained experience as a design assistant at maison brands in Antwerp and London. After graduating, he started Taiga Takahashi in New York.
