This genuine leather shoe brand was started by Tokyo Footwear, an import shoe wholesaler that has been pursuing cost reductions and focusing on direct trade procurement for the past 50 years, in response to the price hikes that occurred during the first oil crisis in 1973.
The products are produced at Asian partner factories selected from among shoe factories around the world, and by dealing directly with the factories, we have been able to eliminate all middleman margins, achieving high cost performance.
They are committed to using standard lasts reminiscent of traditional British shoes and genuine leather with a grain surface.
We pursue high quality (breathability, flexibility, durability, slip resistance, and a fine feel), and after delivery, we have the Boken Quality Evaluation Institute conduct inspections on our products to a level that is not even required by major retail chains, to accurately confirm and guarantee the materials and performance.

In order to enjoy the properties of real leather, the upper is made of soft "grain-on leather" that leaves the surface "grain side" of the leather intact, providing breathability that prevents stuffiness, flexibility with a comfortable fit even when you're just starting to walk, and the inherent durability and natural texture of cowhide.

In recent years, many natural leather shoes have been used that are indistinguishable from synthetic leather, which is made by applying synthetic resin to the split leather after the grain surface has been scraped off, but our aim is completely different: our shoes have natural wrinkles, take on shoe cream well, and are finished to be like genuine leather shoes that can develop the character of genuine leather. (We have also inspected that the genuine cowhide leather has a grain surface.)

The rubber sole is made of a proprietary thermoplastic rubber (TPR) compound. In addition to the material properties of TPR, the compounding process, which was developed to create "business shoes you can run in," gives the shoes excellent flexibility and quick return to their original position, and the shoes have a sticky grip on rainy days and wet surfaces, providing excellent slip resistance.
In addition, the one-piece molded heel structure ensures high durability.
