From the front, it looks like a classic 5-pocket denim, but the back style incorporates details from traditional painter's pants.

This is a pair of pants referencing the workwear brand , which was born in the 1850s.

It was acquired by a major company in 1946, but it remains popular among vintage enthusiasts. The duality in the details at the front and back probably comes from the fact that it was born during a transitional period of the era. I was attracted to that, and I wanted to reintroduce it to the world with fabric that matches the strength of these details.

The fabric used in is denim woven with thick, loosely twisted yarns, woven even more loosely. In addition to its visual impact, the drape when worn is unique, resulting in fashionable pants with a sense of heritage in a good way.

Keiji Kaneko

Keiji Kaneko, who has been active as a fashion buyer for many years, starts 'FOUNDOUR' with Shinpei Kawata, a vintage director. We pick up items from past archives centered on vintage, expand on ideas for clothing, and shape them together with the best team including pattern makers and factories. The brand name is a coined word combining 'FOUND = search' and 'OUR = team'.
FOUNDOUR does not create mere vintage replicas. Borrowing Kaneko's words, we aim to make 'clothes that discover the story of styling.'
Surrounded by high-quality clothes every day, Kaneko says that an orthodox style has unconsciously been born within him, and his ideas about styling have become rigid. However, the fun of fashion lies in combining clothes with different purposes and origins, weaving your own story into it. Returning to this fundamental point, we create clothes that can be paired with vintage and maison brands, serving as a 'riff'.
For example, even a seemingly ordinary broadcloth shirt can be paired with good clothes without any disadvantage by giving reasons to the pattern, details, and sewing, each becoming a highlight.
Utilizing the aesthetic sense cultivated as a buyer, we find 'now-want-to-wear' clothes, delve into the context of each item, and discover the reasons behind their creation. Then, we propose in a way that allows you to rediscover the fun of fashion.
