What is Toile de Jouy?
The town of Jouy-en-Josas, located near Versailles, in the suburbs of Paris.
The fabric and prints produced in the factories of this region are called "Toile de Jouy" and became very popular in France during the 18th and 19th centuries.
It is said that Marie-Antoinette and Napoleon also visited the place and were captivated by it, and even now, over 200 years after her birth, there are many fans not only in France but around the world for what is known as "the birthplace loved by Marie-Antoinette."
This product is an officially licensed item under contract with the Musée des Tissus de Lyon in France.
