Barry Barr, who was born and raised in a fisherman's house on San Juan Island in Washington State, founded "KAVU" in Seattle in 1993.
We established a company to create a sun visor that can withstand harsh environments, is durable and buoyant, protects the eyes from strong sunlight, and is less likely to be blown away by strong winds while working on a boat.
This sun visor will later become KAVU's flagship model known as the "Strap Cap."
In the first year, it rapidly penetrated the ski market, followed by the outdoor market the next year, and then into the canoe and kayak markets.
And finally, at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, KAVU was selected as an official licensed product of the U.S. Canoe & Kayak Team, which significantly elevated its status as an outdoor brand.
We actively incorporate new materials that consider the natural environment, providing functional and enjoyable outdoor wear.

This is a reversible hoodie that can be enjoyed in 2 ways.
The outer fabric is made of short-pile fleece material, and the lining is a simple hoodie made of nylon material, which can be worn alone in early autumn and used as a layer during colder periods, making it a versatile item.
The collar is slightly raised, making it difficult for warm air to escape from the neck area when it's cold, which is characteristic of outdoor wear design.
The fleece side features an elbow patch design, adding a stylish touch.
The Japan fit provides a size that is easier for Japanese people to wear.
