The Espresso, which debuted in 1991, was developed as an after-snowboard shoe that combined a classic sneaker upper with a snowboard boot sole.

● A new sandal type has emerged from NORTHWAVE's ESPRESSO, which exploded in popularity in Ura-Harajuku in the 90s.
● The original model had a heavy feel and stiffness, making it difficult to wear for town use, but the use of low-rebound material in the insole has improved comfort.
● The outsole has been updated to be lighter by using different materials than those used at the time.
