■Dyeing
The dyeing of silk is called "Kasazome," a dyeing technique that is now mostly used only for kimonos. Silk does not return to its original size once stretched. Therefore, care is taken during the manufacturing process to avoid putting tension on the threads as much as possible. "Kasazome" dyes the threads in a relaxed loop state, making it the optimal technique. Due to the labor-intensive nature, this technique is gradually disappearing.

■Weaving
Also woven in the Nishijin district of Kyoto. Woven by Orishin, a long-established weaving company, it is among the top in the domestic tie industry. Using traditional low-speed weaving machines, it allows for "looseness in the threads" and "firmly packing the weft," which cannot be achieved with the latest high-speed machines. This results in a fabric with fullness and sturdiness.

■Finishing
Pressing can crush and shrink silk. Many avoid pressing for this reason, but we consider the crumpling as part of the charm. For customers concerned about crumpling, this product is only lightly pressed to maintain its shape. The resulting product allows you to feel the sensation of tightening and the fullness of the silk. Depending on the weave structure, you may also hear a sound like "gyuu" from the silk, which I believe is the proper form of a tie.
