What is Toile de Jouy?
A town near Paris, close to Versailles, Jouy-en-Josas.
The fabric and prints produced in the factories of this region are called "Toile de Jouy" and became very popular in France during the 18th and 19th centuries.
It is said that Marie-Antoinette and Napoleon Bonaparte also visited the place and were captivated by its origin. Even now, more than 200 years after her birth, there are many fans not only in France but around the world for the "fabric loved by Marie-Antoinette."
This product is an officially licensed item under contract with the Musée des Tissus de Lyon in France.
