Founded in 2011 in Cohasset, Massachusetts, OOFOS is a recovery shoe brand developed over two and a half years by a veteran team involved in product development for athletes, trainers, and major shoe manufacturers.
While there are many shoes that cause significant impact on the soles of the feet, they realized there were no shoes designed to absorb impact and aid recovery, leading them to create OOFOS and become pioneers in recovery footwear.
The special material OOfoam used in OOFOS products differs from conventional EVA midsole materials designed for propulsion, as it can reduce impact rebound by 37%, thereby alleviating the shock to the soles upon landing.
This helps reduce strain on the knees, hips, and back, while the ergonomically designed footbed gently cradles the foot and provides firm arch support.
Since its launch in 2011, understanding of recovery shoes has deepened year by year in the United States, and by 2017, it expanded to 1,700 stores, primarily through running shops.
