Founded in 2011 in Cohasset, Massachusetts, OOFOS is a recovery shoe brand developed over two and a half years by a veteran team involved in product development for athletes, trainers, and major shoe manufacturers.
While there are many shoes that exert significant impact on the feet, they realized there were no shoes designed to absorb shock and promote recovery, leading them to create OOFOS and become pioneers in recovery footwear.
The special material used in OOFOS products, OOfoam, differs from the typical EVA midsole designed for forward propulsion, as it can reduce shock rebound by 37%, thereby alleviating the impact on the feet during landing. This helps reduce the strain on the knees, hips, and back, while the ergonomically designed footbed gently cradles the foot and provides solid arch support.
Since its launch in 2011, understanding of recovery shoes has deepened year by year in the United States, and by 2017, it expanded to 1,700 stores, primarily through running shops.
