"It's a personal matter, but I've had a severe bunion since childhood, inherited from my father."
Any shoes I wear deform, and I have the strongest bunions that create holes from the bunion area.
The job of a stylist involves a lot of walking on a regular basis.
The heels I worked hard to buy couldn't even last 5 minutes of walking.
The cute ballet shoes transformed into an unappealing shape resembling bunion-type ballet shoes, and the only reliable work companion was a pair of oversized sneakers.
"I was approached with the suggestion, 'How about making shoes that even Kizu-san can walk in?'"
This collaboration has been realized.
We held several meetings and carefully crafted it with a strong focus on form and materials.
"When the sample arrived and I tried it on, I was moved. 'I can walk in these!"
