Schott was founded in 1913 by brothers Irving Schott and Jack Schott in New York. Originally operating as a raincoat factory, it introduced the front-zipper rider jacket in 1928, establishing its position as a rider brand and creating the prototype for the American motorcycle jacket. The One Star, released in the 1950s, is said to have been worn by Marlon Brando in the film "The Wild One," becoming a representative model for Schott.
