On July 30, 2025, the U.S. government issued an Executive Order to suspend the de minimis tax exemption for all international shipments. As a result, starting from August 29, 2025, import duties will be applied to packages containing items imported for personal use.
Additionally, on August 15, 2025, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced new guidelines requiring carriers to handle customs declarations and deposit guarantee fees. However, the implementation details remain unclear, making operations extremely challenging for postal operators and shipping carriers worldwide.
Due to this situation, Japan Post has suspended EMS acceptance for shipments to the U.S.
Therefore, we are temporarily suspending all new orders shipped to the United States.
