Released in 1966. An original product of Clarks sold in Japan since 1971. Clarks' 'Wallabee' was named after the small Australian marsupial, the wallaby. It is a shoe that gently wraps the foot, like caring for a child in a pouch, and feels very comfortable to wear. The unique moccasin construction of Wallabee is supported worldwide as an icon of the Clarks Originals collection. It features a simple, comfortable lace-up style, combined with seasonal variations on the crepe sole, which is a symbol of Clarks Originals, and continues to evolve today.
Wallabee is a low-cut style that reaches below the ankle, while Wallabee Boot is an ankle boot style that extends above the ankle.

Clarks was founded in 1825 by the Clarks brothers, Cyrus and James. The founding place is a small town called Street in southwestern England. Clarks still has its headquarters there, and nearby is a tower with the previously used engraved logo mark. Over a history of about 180 years, it has grown into a global brand considered the origin of casual shoes. The first product was sheepskin slippers with fur, which later led to the creation of casual and comfort shoes, considered the origin and concept of such footwear. Today, desert boots and Wallabee are also synonymous with casual shoes.
