The domestic brand "シーヴ (CEIVE)" is created by designer Ayasu Asaka.
After joining Comme des Garçons, he gained experience for about 16 years mainly as a pattern maker for Junya Watanabe, and started his own brand from the Spring/Summer 2025 collection.
CEIVE proposes "clothes that continue to think about what essence is, with a reason behind everything." The aim is to create clothing that elevates the wearer and allows them to express themselves to the fullest. At the same time, it pursues "clothes that have a reason behind everything." It considers why this design, this material, and this specification are necessary, and engages in meaningful clothing production in all processes. It proposes simple garments backed by essential functionality and aesthetic consciousness.
The brand name CEIVE is derived from "ceive = to receive," and it overlaps the brand's direction with its high versatility, as it changes meaning with prefixes like "conceive," "perceive," and "receive." While proposing designs that fit into various scenes of daily life, the individuality of each wearer, and diverse styles, the brand expresses its stance of pursuing the strength that simplicity possesses.
