The "TAKEO KIKUCHI × THE BEDFORD HOTEL" eyewear collection was developed at the "KING STAR" factory of Megane Ichiba, located in Sabae City, Fukui Prefecture, a proud region of the world known for its eyeglasses.
The craftsmanship of Sabae glasses, cultivated over many years, is alive in every aspect of eyewear.
The engraving and milling applied to the割智 (warichi), temple, and riveted hinges, as well as the nose pads of the Man Ray mountain that meet the unique high quality standards of "KING STAR" ensure reliable quality.
We deliver a supreme masterpiece that combines a strong commitment to craftsmanship and meticulous techniques that reside in every detail.

For glasses enthusiasts, the carefully crafted and easy-to-use nose pads feature a beige color found in vintage frames.
There is also the advantage of being less tiring even after prolonged use.
The hinge section uses a riveted hinge.
The temple core features a vine pattern, and depending on the fabric, it has a translucent design.
I am trying to bring the temples in slightly more than the front width.
This is something seen in American vintage frames, where a step was created because the surface alignment could not be done in the past.
This is designed in reverse, giving it a more retro atmosphere.
The modern part close to the ear incorporates a family crest reminiscent of the "three lines in a circle" used by figures like Isami Kondo of the Sabae clan, translated into English, and combines the "T" from TAKEO KIKUCHI with the "B" from THE BEDFORD HOTEL in its design.
